Holi
is a festival of colour, it show love, freedom, tolerance, brotherhood and equality
among people. In our J&K people express themselves by their skin, cast,
religion, culture, income or wealth.
The
differences of culture, skin, and clothing can be all covered by playing with
colours. Putting colour on each other despite of differences it creates equality
among the people. Similarly, in schools, the uniform of students represent the
equality or in Mosque where the rich and the poor may stand shoulder to shoulder
in one row and where men wear white cap (Taqiyah) and women wear white shawls (Hijabs)
to show equality.
This
festival brings the society together and strengthens the social and emotional bond
which increases attachment with each other.
The
festival of colours is finally here, let the colours of holi spread the message
of peace and happiness.
